Due to the construction of a new casino vessel in the marina, the Hammond Marina will be closed to boaters until approximately May 2008.  The facility that the Hammond Yacht Club occupied has been sold and demolished to make way for the expansion project forcing the Club to vacate the premises and put everything in storage until a new facility can be built.  The Club anticipates the opening of a new facility in 2008.  The location will be near the marina guard shack and will be part of a new facility for the marina maintenance staff. The Club will be leased from the Hammond Port Authority and will be located on the second floor of this new facility.
